NHACDL will hold its popular bi-annual DUI CLE on April 19 in Manchester! We have a fabulous line-up of speakers and topics to help you defend your clients in this new DUI era. The seminar will of course include information on the new DUI sentencing scheme in NH as well as ideas on how to attack the new "anything goes" impairment law. The NH law segment will be covered by long-time public defender and DUI Litigation Support Attorney Todd Russell. He will be joined by sole practitioner Andrew Cotrupi from Hampton. The line-up will also include Leonard Stamm. Mr. Stamm is a top national DUI lawyer who literally wrote the book "Maryland DUI Law." He will discuss strategies to use in bench trials and will also cover 102 medical defenses. To add to the substance of the complicating factors of medical issue and legal drugs, Dr. Michelle Rainka will present. Dr. Rainka will cover drugs of abuse, how the body handles and metabolizes certain substances and how to fight against the increasing number of DUI via Drug cases that are happening across the state as New Hampshire puts more and more "DREs" on the street. Finally, to develop new ideas and polish up on bread and butter DUI skills, Len Harden, DUI expert from the North Country, and Alex Parsons, long time NHPD attorney, will conduct a session on cross examining the Field Sobriety Test officer.
