This year's annual meeting will be held Dec. 14, 2017 at the UNH Law School.  Registration will be open in mid-November.  The CLE topic TBD.

The New Hampshire Association Of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NHACDL) is a voluntary, professional association of the criminal defense bar in New Hampshire. NHACDL is the largest - and only – independent statewide organization devoted to criminal defense. We have been an active association since 1988!

Collectively, our members practice in every courthouse in the state and handle every type of criminal case.  Our membership consists of solo practitioners, members of large firms and state and federal public defenders.  NHACDL is an affiliate of the National Association Of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Our ultimate mission is to ensure, safeguard and promote the effective assistance of counsel in criminal cases, to support the lawyers who do this work, to represent in public the interests of criminal defendants and to preserve the fairness and integrity of the criminal justice system.

To become an NHACDL member, sign up by mail via this fillable PDF form or enroll on-line.

NHACDL makes every effort to offer high-quality, low-cost CLEs.  We do not pay honorariums to speakers, except in extraordinary circumstances.  We no longer print hard copy written materials.  We schedule our CLEs at facilities that work with us on cost.  Our cancellation policy is that a full refund will be made minus a $25 administrative fee if the attendee cancels at least 24 hours before the CLE is scheduled to begin.  It is not possible to issue a refund if the cancellation is less than 24 hours because the expenses have already been committed.  If the attendee has already received the written materials, a $40 fee is subtracted from the refund.  Written material may also be purchased after a CLE is held for $40.

NHACDL will hold its annual meeting on December 16, 2016 at the Holiday Inn in Concord.  The meeting will include a free CLE, free food and a cash bar.  This year, the CLE is expanded and is being held in cooperation with the New Hampshire Public Defender and Federal Defender offices.
